Susan Gonsalves, Hawaii Operations Manager

Susan Gonsalves, Operations Manager with Mann Mortgage, has been in the mortgage banking industry for 25 years.  Based in the Honolulu branch, her current responsibilities include oversight of all of the Hawaii-based underwriting and processing staff.
Gonsalves brings a keen understanding to her position, having started from the ground up.  She has processed, underwritten, closed, and funded loans for several companies before  entering into management.  She held a California Real Estate License and Appraiser’s license for residential property earlier in her career, so she is no stranger to the inner workings of various counterparts of the business.  This breadth of knowledge enables her to run a well-versed and highly-informed shop, pulling the best technologies together with the vast array of lending products available at Mann Mortgage.

With management experience over the past 12 years, she has worked for GMAC for 11 years in three different states (California, Florida, and Hawaii).  As a District Operations Manager , she was brought to Hawaii from Florida to open the loan center in Kailua.  At her center, she built a staff that achieved one of the highest productivity ratings in the company.  In the same capacity at First Horizon Home Loans, she  not only managed the retail operation, but added wholesale operations to her wheelhouse. After several years in Operations there,  Gonsalves joined Pacific Access Mortgage as a Loan Officer. She worked out of the Coldwell Banker office in Kailua and learned what it was like to originate and be on the front lines of the business.

Gonsalves joined American Savings Bank when she was given the opportunity to manage Quality Control, and most recently assisted with managing Operations in their Mortgage Division.  She was a part of the team who grew it from a $30 million a month shop to a $100 million shop.  There, she worked closely with Servicing, Compliance, and Quality Control.

Gonsalves attended Callibro College in Santa Cruz, California.
